Thank you so much to Musa! If you are in Nairobi, this tour is a must do. Musa was so professional, kind and open. He took time to explain and answer all my questions and even invited me to his family's and his own place to show a very authentic part of how many people in Nairobi actually live. As a solotraveler I also felt very safe during the whole tour and people have been so friendly. All in all a great experience!
Our guide was truly outstanding. Born and raised in Kibera, he knows every corner and seems to greet someone he knows at every turn. He was incredibly flexible with timing and open to tailoring the experience based on our curiosities. Warm, respectful, and attentive, he made us feel completely at ease and safe throughout the visit. Kibera is a place full of contrasts, energy, and stories — having someone who calls it home guide you through it makes the experience not only meaningful, but unforgettable.
Musa's tour is unlike any tour I have done before. It feels less like a tour and more like a hangout. You get to see both sides of Kibera and get a chance to visit Musa's family home and talk to his family. Everyone is super open and like to share insights into their lives, and you feel truly welcomed in. Because this you get a unique understanding of life here and leave with an experience you won't forget.
