Unfortunately I found the tour quite disappointing. Only after reading other reviews afterwards I realised we did not have a tour with the guide Alfredo, rather his father Luis. Unfortunately Luis’ English was very poor and made it very difficult to understand the majority of what he was saying. I also think it was very misleading that Luis never clarified that he was in fact not Alfredo, nor give an explanation for why he was doing his son’s job instead. The tour was also not very interesting considering how much of a historic city Antigua Guatemala is. Unfortunately it felt quite scammy, especially as Luis was also very pushy about money.
Really enjoyed this tour with Alfredo’s father Luis. Luis was super knowledgeable and passionate about Antigua, answered every question we had, gave food recommendations and offered little extra stops depending on the group‘s interest.
Very nice tour. Lots of really great history as well as beautiful stops.
We had a great time! would highly recommend. Louis was great.
