I absolutely loved this tour as it takes you away from the touristy sights into a raw and authentic part of HCMC: Cholon or Chinatown. We explored markets (do the morning tour for seeing those in full action!), beautiful alleys where people live and go about their daily business and Pagodas where locals were praying. I particulary loved the alleys that are home to different types of businesses: in one you could find all kinds of supplies for crafts, in another it was just decorations for different holidays and the most interesting one was the one where you find everything needed for pet fish and their aquariums. It’s nothing like you’ve seen before! We also took the local bus and tried traditional herbal tea at a street stand, which felt very authentic. The tour was particularly amazing for street photography if you’re into that! Joseph was very knowledgeable and shared so many interesting facts and insights into the culture of Vietnam and its Chinese immigrants. Can‘t recommend it enough!
The tour brought us to very interessting and authentic places. Our tour guide was very knowledgable, presented much information, and answered our many questions. This was a very cool experience.
