We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Long in Ho Chi Minh City. Traveling with a 3-year-old is not always the serene cultural montage one imagines while booking flights, and our daughter was definitely a little grumpy at times, but Long was incredibly patient, flexible, and kind throughout the entire tour. He adjusted the pace naturally, never made us feel rushed, and even helped carry the stroller when needed, which honestly felt like elite-level tour guide behavior in Ho Chi Minh City traffic. He also very attentively helped us navigate crossing streets and made sure we didn’t get flattened by the magnificent river of motorbikes. A skill that deserves both praise and possibly a medal. What really stood out was how genuinely caring and thoughtful he was. He was knowledgeable in a way that felt engaging and conversational rather than scripted, and we learned so much about the city’s history, culture, and daily life throughout the tour. Highly recommend Long to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City, especially families looking for a guide who is adaptable, knowledgeable, calm under pressure, and genuinely lovely to spend the day with.
Die Tour mit Joseph war sehr informativ und er zeigte zusätzlich gute Bilder zur weiteren Erklärung. Er hat anfangs zusammengefasst was wir machen und wie lange es ungefähr dauert. Doch noch vor Beginn der Tour hat er erstmal die Erwartungshaltung klar gemacht: wieviel er an Guru bezahlen muss und wieviel jeder von uns mindestens geben muss: und zwar 500.000 dong pro Person. Die die Tour kostenlos und basiert auf faireren Trinkgeldern, dies hat er jedoch gar nicht erwähnt. Noch vor Start der Tour zu sagen wie viel wir mindestens geben sollen, ohne, dass wir überhaupt einen Eindruck erhalten konnten, fanden wir nicht in Ordnung.
