Sean - Guía turístico en Johannesburgo

I was really excited by this tour, but left disappointed. We started 20 mins late because we were waiting on folks who never confirmed their RSVP. Then we were told since there was only two, we will only do one food tasting. By the time we got to our he restaurant at the end, it was an hour wait for our food and 100 RAD. Would have been better to give us options to buy our own or sample and have this clearly stated with aprox cost at time of booking. Given the lack of organization, I wouldn’t bother joining this tour unless you have lots of time to just sit and wait or if you want to be paraded to the guide’s friends shops to buy souvenirs. While I did still tip the guide, it was at the lower threshold, and the guide demanded more and that I write a good review. I refuse to be bullied into writing inaccurate information. On a positive side, the street art was fantastic, and I’m sure I would have missed a few good pieces if I was walking around on my own

Learned a lot about South Africa from a local and his perspective. Hoped the tour covered more history than art. The bus ride was great as it was so different and we wouldn’t have had the experience without the tour. Still the constitution court visit was my favorite.

5 stars all the way. Sean is informative, knowledgeable and extremely interesting. We had time in the museums and took a “bus” for a short trip. Felt safe in Sean’s capable hands .

Wow! Such a great tour guide Sean is! His tour is informative and interesting! He shows you all the graffiti in the area and introduces you to local South African cuisine! Definitely a must do when you’re in Johannesburg!!
