We had a super small group but it didn’t stop Maddy’s enthusiasm of running the tour. Most interesting part was he told quite a lot of stories from meeting some of the bomb survivors and researchers.

We took this tour with our teenage kids who usually complain about history walks, but Maddy completely won them over. He’s so engaging, witty, and packed the tour with fascinating stories rather than just dry facts. It felt like exploring Nagasaki with a very knowledgeable local friend.

My partner and I actually arrived a few minutes late and thought we missed the group, but Maddy was so accommodating and helped us catch up easily. He is so warm and friendly, and his knowledge of Nagasaki is incredible. After the tour ended, he even took extra time to help us look up train schedules for our trip the next day. Truly a lifesaver!
