Nice walk. Guide was friendly and enthusiastic about his itinerary and guidance. He showed us a more of 'we the people of Cartagena.' We saw a beautiful authentic market. Was nice to see something outside the touristic theatrics part of the city.

Jesus gave a fascinating tour of the Bazurto markets and on the area Barrio Chino located nearby with the murals. Jesus informed us re the 1 -6 ranking in the community for the streets and the cost of gentrification. The markets were huge , we saw a lot and tasted a few iconic drinks/food. It was very interesting. The local bus was also a bonus.

We did the tour through Bazurto Market with Jesus, and he was an outstanding guide. He was informative, attentive, and charismatic throughout the experience. We always felt safe and well cared for—he made sure everyone stayed cool and hydrated despite the heat. What we appreciated most was how he helped us learn about the authentic side of Cartagena and its local culture. His knowledge and professionalism made the tour both educational and enjoyable. We are very grateful for such a fun and dedicated guide and would highly recommend this tour with Jesus.

What better way to visit the Bazurto market than visiting it with a local ! Jesús treated us like family, was very knowledgeable and interesting. He speaks very clear spanish, english and even speaks french. We spent a wonderful moment learning so much about the colombian culture. Highly recommended!

If you are staying in the touristic area of Cartagena, then this tour is a must. Jesus our tour guide walked us through the local area where most tourists are not present and it was super interesting and knowledgeable. Followed by Brian the assistant of Jesus, this tour is quite safe and pleasant. You will have the opportunity to transit with the public transport and learn about the realities of Cartagena. Great tour! We are Latin American and fluent in Spanish, so we weren’t sure if it was best to do a tour of the market or go independently. We are glad we did the tour. Jesús knows so much about the market and the people in it. We also learned about the neighborhood and Cartagena more broadly. We would definitely recommend it!

Jesus, our guide, was very courteous and friendly and explained the history of the Bazurto market. This tour offers a look into another aspect of the daily Iives of people in Cartagena. It is both an indoor and outdoor market. There is a fish section and meat section, as well as clothes and fruits. Everyone we encountered was friendly. We enjoyed seeing this part of Cartagena. For those who want to experience a walk into an authentic market, this is would be the place to go. As always, wear proper shoes as this is a walking tour

I had a really good experience with the Black Legacy group. Everyone was friendly and organized, and the walk felt safe and well managed. It was a nice atmosphere overall, and I’d definitely recommend it to other walkers thinking about joining.... I love this experience!

Incredible experience! Jesus introduced us to local legends of the market, like a father who paid for all his children to go to university by selling a fermented pineapple juice (which of course you get to try). This is a tour that cannot be missed, and such a breath of fresh (market) air outside the old city

Wow, I can still feel the rhythm of the music in my body! I booked this tour through GuruWalk because I wanted to see the real Cartagena, the one that doesn't appear on the typical postcards, and boy did I find it! Our 'Guru' Jesucartel was a ray of sunshine; he took us through the aisles of the Bazurto market as if we were family. I loved how authentic everything was: we tried fruits I didn't even know existed, amid the noise and colour of the stalls. If you're looking for something 'refined', this isn't the place for you, but if you want to feel the real pulse of the city, you have to do it! The platform made it super easy for me to contact the guide. Five stars and that's an understatement! See you soon, vale miaaaa
