Sidita ist eine sehr engagierte, zugewandte und charmante Person. Sie hat uns die Augen für ihre Stadt geöffnet und ihr Land durch ihre persönlichen Erfahrungen viel näher gebracht.
A good introduction to achievements, beliefs and thinking of the people of Shkodra in an historical context.
Mycket duktig och otroligt duktig på detaljer. Mycket bra engelska (betydligt bättre än min egna). Höll på i över 2 timmar, med glädje.
Paola was a wonderful guide. She was well-versed in the history of Albania and the city. She told us everything from where to buy the best ice cream to the greatest heroes of the region and the architectural style typical of the city. I highly recommend taking a tour with Paola to get a feel of the city.
I totally recommend the tour with Paola. She offers a lot of information about Shkodra and Albania and you really feel her passion about her city and country as well as the joy it brings her to tell tourists about it.
Paola was great, with a real passion for her city and great knowledge. Really enjoyable.
The guide was absolutely excellent! She shared her extensive knowledge in such an engaging way, combining historical facts with deep insights into the culture and society of Shkodër and Albania as a whole. I highly recommend her tour to anyone who wants to truly understand and connect with the place they're visiting — through the eyes of a local who was born and raised here, and who lives and breathes Albanian history and culture. Far better than any history book or website you’ll read!
Paola is just great, your rarely find person so local and so much in love with own culture. Voices of Shkoder is a special excursion to visit, a lot of love and local insights was put in it. Ask as many questions as you can, you will get much more than just by listening. Paola is there to answer all your questions. Thanks again, we will definitely remember your excursion under rainy Shkoder weather.
Great tour, entertaining stories!
Was a great walking tour, Paola was entertaining as well as informative. We learnt a lot about the history, architecture & people of Shkoder. Would highly recommend.
I learned a lot about Albania, even though I’d been in the country for a couple weeks already. We enjoyed our guide’s humor and responsiveness to our questions.
Kiri was full of the history about the beautiful city of Shkoder. Definitely recommend this tour especially if you want to learn about the history of Shkodër.
Thank uou, we really enjoyed the tour
Paola was friendly, great at answering all questions and so knowledgeable! It was great to see the city in a new light and learn about the various history of Northern Albania in more depth. She also gave some recommendations for food/coffee/pastries which was an extra bonus. I would encourage anyone visiting to do a tour with Paola - it makes you feel like you’ve seen and understood the city thoroughly.
We took the free walking tour "Voices of Shkodra" with Paola – and it was an experience that brought us closer to Shkodra and Albania in a way we would never have experienced on our own. The tour was varied, in-depth, and at the same time incredibly entertaining. We particularly liked how Paola repeatedly wove personal stories into the tour – such as the anecdote about the water pump, which used to be something like the "Tinder of Shkodra." This made the tour lively and very relatable. Also unforgettable was the moment when we happened upon a wedding car parade and Paola introduced us directly to the wedding traditions. Suddenly, an everyday moment became a fascinating insight into local culture. We learned how beards (or lack thereof) could be used to identify social differences, both past and present – and then spent the whole day observing the men in the city for their beard growth. 😅 We were particularly impressed by how often Albania has changed throughout its history – and how little we knew about it. The Kanun, for example, fascinated and horrified us in equal measure. At the end of the tour, we were reminded of how close the places of worship in Shkodra are to one another, the mosque, the Catholic church, and the Orthodox church, and how naturally religions coexist here. The feeling that you are Albanian first and only then Catholic, Muslim, or Orthodox, deeply impressed us. Paola took a lot of time, answered every question, and also explained current social issues to us. We would take a tour with her again anytime and enthusiastically recommend her to anyone who wants to experience Shkodra with heart, depth, and humor.
Paola was a superb guide, very knowledgeable and all around pleasant. We felt we got a very good grasp of Shköder and the general history of Albania in those two hours. When we asked follow-up questions, she always had an answer.
We enjoyed our tour and our guide answered questions and provided good information. Thank you.
Our guide was so knowledgeable and passionate about Albania and Shkoder- it was a fascinating tour with so much information.
