Free Walking Tours through Old Evora

We took a Historical walking tour of Évora and Elza brought the walled city to life. She was a wealth of information and made our tour very interestIng and fun.

Lots of historical context - includes a number of places to go back to you in your own time.

Évora is a magical town with a rich and varied history. Seeing it through Elsa’s trained eye and informed and organized mind was enriching and rewarding. It is more appropriate to call her tour of Évora a 2 hour journey through time. Without pedantry or the dreaded “too much information”, Elsa found the perfect balance of historical facts and artistic appreciation. I wish we could take Part 2 tomorrow.

Eliza was a great guide. She explained the buildings of the city through the perspective of the different cultures and rulers of the city over the centuries. Also with a depth of knowledge and easy to understand explanations.

From start to finish, she was outstanding, deeply knowledgeable, incredibly engaging, and full of fascinating insights. Every detail shared was well-researched and thoughtfully presented, turning each stop into a rich story rather than just a location. Whether it was historical facts, cultural nuances, or little-known local anecdotes, Eza brought everything to life in a way that was both educational and entertaining. I highly recommend her. She will make your Evora experience wonderful.

Highly recommended. Knowledgeable, dedicate guide. We would not be able to see all the attractions without her. And we would not be able to learn that much about the history of Evora
