Free walking tours in Frankfurt

By far the best free walking we have had in Germany. Nemu is very very knowledgeable, professional, eloquent, friendly and patient (I asked like a million questions😅). I can definitely recommend it ☺️

The tour was an enriching experience, rich in history even though we stayed only in the core of the city center. The guide was nice, passionate and enthusiastic to answer our questions. We could see some parts of the city center of Frankfurt that were not so obivious to me (even though they are right there at plain sight! :) )

I had just 6 hours in Frankfurt and decided to take this tour to get a good overview of the city and its popular sights. It was definitely worth it. What I didn’t like was that too many facts were given by the guide with little engagement with the group. Thanks to the guide, I learned that it’s possible to go to the top of the cathedral — and I did it right after the tour ended.

I've joined GuruWalk tours in various countries since 2022 and would unfortunately rate this as below average. The guide was a bit awkward and her voice was too soft, which was a struggle to follow when there were other people/ group talking, or music playing nearby. Her presentation was also dry, but I do wonder how much of it was due to Frankfurt not having that much to see. The consolation was I met some cool fellow travelers (one of the friendliest/ most social groups) and we got beer by the river after the tour.

Holger really knows a lot about Frankfurt. He showed us the most important places and had a lot of background information. I recommend him for all people who want to know this beautiful town better

I had a really great tour with Nemu and a small group of visitors to Frankfurt. Nemu really knows his stuff. He engaged with the group in an interactive and funny way. Asking questions and making the whole experience seem so much more than a talker talking and a group listening. He knew Frankfurt really well and encouraged question asking. I would thoroughly recommend the tour.

It was an amazing tour! Even though we are very few, Holger didn’t cancel the tour. The information he gave about the city included about everything; history, politics, religion, society, food, restaurants, museums… I really liked he had a high energy during all the tour. Thank you for this amazing 2.5 hour!

Holger is an excellent guide! We really enjoyed his knowledge of the history of Frankfurt and appreciated his clear explanations of the many events that lead up to present-day Frankfurt. The route we followed was put into perspective with each stop. From early history to government in addition to some fun in the Kleinmarkthalle. He also gave us a few tips on where to get some delicious Frankfurt desserts and great food. Thank you, Holger!

Nemu is very knowledgeable about Frankfurt, and we learned a lot during the tour. He’s also a friendly and engaging guide—we really enjoyed spending time with him. One area for improvement could be the crowd management. Although we arrived 10 minutes early, as asked, the tour started 30 minutes late because we were waiting for additional participants. In such cases, it might be helpful to arrange to meet latecomers at a later point on the route or share a live location via phone to avoid delaying the rest of the group.
