I’m a native San Franciscan born and raised in the city. My parents were immigrants from China, and San Francisco’s Chinatown was their point of entry into the United States.
I started giving tours of SF because I’ve had great experiences taking free walking tours during my travels across the world (40+ countries).
I’m a foodie at heart and have my own food blog, Instagram, and Yelp account, and I’ve written a review for every restaurant I’ve visited in the last 8 years! That means that I know the best local places in the city to take visitors to.
The tour with David was just the best! The right mix of information and fun, with amazing food too as promised in the description! We really loved the idea of tying the food we ate with the history of Chinatown. David is a great storyteller and very knowledgeable about the history of the place! Highly recommend!
David was a great and knowledgeable tour leader and he gave us so much history and good stopping places to taste the best of Chinatown. He made sure everyone was enjoying and entertained the whole time. Out favorite stop was the tea shop. What an experience! But the dumplings were also phenomenal.
David was exceptional. The tour started on time with group introductions and set proper expectations of the walk. We shared lunch at a very reasonable cost at a local authentic Chinese restaurant. Tea tasting was very fun and informative. Visit to fortune cookie factory and bakery. David shares his passion about the city and history of Chinatown. Thank you David
