Hello, I'm Arda. I'm an engineer who, with my passion for storytelling and interest in history, is trying to become a tourist guide. After completing my primary and secondary education in Bolu, Türkiye, my engineering journey began with my undergraduate studies in Ankara, Türkiye, followed by a master's degree in Italy. After three exciting years of work experience in the defense and aerospace industry in Turkey, including at Turkish Aerospace (TUSAŞ), my path led me to Belgium, where I now live in Ghent. Currently, I work as an Additive Manufacturing Engineer in Ghent at a start-up working on a revolutionary technology that is unique in its field worldwide. While creating the technology of the future, I spend my free time tracing the footsteps of the past. I have an incredible passion for history, especially ancient history and ancient cities. So far, I've explored and breathed in the stories of 28 ancient cities in 4 different countries. As for my hobbies: I love playing basketball, and I have been playing since 2004. I adore video games. I've played almost every game in the Assassin's Creed series (meaning I know the historical streets, rooftops, and architectural details by heart, digitally!). I also love FPS games like BF1 and BF6. I'm also a huge fan of J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth universe. At home, I have all sorts of geeky items, from Aragorn's crown to a huge map of Middle-earth combined with Beleriand.
