Ciao, sono Majo, sono nato e cresciuto a Villa de Leyva, un luogo dove faccio la guida da circa 5 anni. Mi è sempre piaciuto conoscere persone e luoghi per questo motivo, ho viaggiato e vissuto in paesi stranieri come Francia e Nuova Zelanda, esperienze che mi hanno permesso di imparare altri punti di vista e lingua. Da circa 10 anni, insieme a mio marito, abbiamo deciso di salvare la memoria storica e gli aneddoti del mio comune attraverso la narrazione orale e la recitazione. Oggi usiamo questa conoscenza per avvicinare i turisti nazionali e stranieri alla vita di un Villaleyvano.

David was very knowledgeable, and he expressed himself with passion for Villa de Leyva. We were delighted with the tour and highly recommend it for people of all ages.
We had a wonderful tour around Villa de Leyva with David and couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the area, its history, and local culture, and he shared everything with genuine passion and kindness. What really made the experience special was how thoughtful he was with my mother-in-law, who doesn’t speak English. David kindly translated for her throughout the tour, making her feel fully included and comfortable, something we truly appreciated. The only small downside for us was the stop at a cocoa shop, which felt a bit like a tourist trap. Although the lady there was very nice and we did buy and try some products, the stop lasted much longer than necessary and became a bit boring. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we would absolutely recommend David to anyone visiting Villa de Leyva who wants an informative, friendly, and well-organised tour. I would recommend.
