Hallo, ich bin Majo, ich bin in Villa de Leyva geboren und aufgewachsen, einem Ort, an dem ich seit etwa 5 Jahren als Reiseleiter tätig bin. Ich habe es immer gemocht, Menschen und Orte zu treffen, aus diesem Grund bin ich gereist und habe in fremden Ländern wie Frankreich und Neuseeland gelebt, Erfahrungen, die es mir ermöglicht haben, andere Sichtweisen und Sprachen zu lernen. Vor ungefähr 10 Jahren haben wir zusammen mit meinem Mann beschlossen, das historische Gedächtnis und die Anekdoten meiner Gemeinde durch mündliche Erzählung und Schauspielerei zu retten. Heute nutzen wir dieses Wissen, um in- und ausländischen Touristen das Leben eines Villaleyvano näher zu bringen.

David was very knowledgeable, and he expressed himself with passion for Villa de Leyva. We were delighted with the tour and highly recommend it for people of all ages.
We had a wonderful tour around Villa de Leyva with David and couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the area, its history, and local culture, and he shared everything with genuine passion and kindness. What really made the experience special was how thoughtful he was with my mother-in-law, who doesn’t speak English. David kindly translated for her throughout the tour, making her feel fully included and comfortable, something we truly appreciated. The only small downside for us was the stop at a cocoa shop, which felt a bit like a tourist trap. Although the lady there was very nice and we did buy and try some products, the stop lasted much longer than necessary and became a bit boring. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we would absolutely recommend David to anyone visiting Villa de Leyva who wants an informative, friendly, and well-organised tour. I would recommend.
