because our group was small we had opportunities, with our guide, to personalize interests and conversations. we modified the originally designed journey to leave aside some areas that guests had earlier explored, therefore to include areas - in 'old city', 'jewish quarter' and other areas - that highlighted fascinating architectural details, and discussions of important cultural-historical moments. our guide was exquisitely prepared for questions and enjoyed sharing notes about formation of social ideas in different eras of history. it was a privilege to enjoy a long walk of intellectual curiosity.
