It was Honestly, I don't think I learned anything that memorable. The tour began on a hot, crowded street with no seating, and meeting at the first destination would have been way better. In the end, the guide gave us a pointless advertising pitch, and said that the average donation for the free tour was $10 to $15. It was clearly a lie intended to make us feel pressured to give more, but why would I pay the price of a night's hotel for a free tour that wasn't that great? I wouldn't pay that much for a free tour anywhere unless it was the best I'd ever had. The company is probably good overall, but this tour could have been more insightful. If you've been staying in Roma, you might not learn much.
