I am a 36 year old man from the archipelago of Orkney in the far north of Scotland. The tour was absolutely amazing! Really detailed and interesting information about Finnish history, people, politics etc. Johnny was a great guide, with a lot of knowledge not also about the sights but a deep understanding of the finnish way of life :) 100% would recommend!
I came to this tour with a friend. I've been to Helsinki before many times but I don't live there so it was nice to do something new and learn about history. I had never been to the park the tour went to in the end and I really loved it!! Thanks Johnny it was really nice and good luck with tours!
What a tour! Johnny is a true professional and great storyteller and educator, fluidly weaving information from both past and present to better help his audience understand Finland. We learned of Finland's war hero Mannerheim, of Finland's social democratic workings and so much more. Johnny is a very attentive guide that doesn't get thrown off by audience questions but rather welcomes them, seamlessly jumping from topic to topic. Learned a lot and enjoyed my time, can highly recommend!
I was really positively surprised! This tour was outside the immediate city centre, so there wasn't a huge group of tourists everywhere and we also saw a lot of green nature bits. I learned a lot about Finnish history, stuff that I didn't really know happened. Johnny is a great storyteller and even took us for a coffee in the middle of the route! Definitely go on this tour if you want to learn something new and don't want to be eaten by seagulls in the busy centre :)
