We deliberately chose a different kind of tour that didn't cover the “classic” tourist spots. The tour was really perfect for gaining an insight into the history of Finland and Helsinki and also getting to know lesser-known places. Johnny presented everything in an appealing and entertaining way. I can recommend the tour 100%!

Fantastic experience off the beaten path, with beautiful scenery, lots of history, culture and fun. Very memorable, so glad I did this tour! John is such a friendly person answering tons of side questions of our small group, and transporting knowledge in an entertaining way! Thanks again!

Hands down, one of the best walking tours we have ever taken in 30 years of international travel. Johnny is a gifted speaker with a both an outsider and insiders perspective of how modern Finland came to be. Walking to a number of non-typical tourist sites (including a graveyard, a bomb shelter and an asylum), he weaves together a story about how geographic location, language, culture and politics shaped this country and its people. We are taking his architecture tour later this week.

Los tours que tuvimos con John, tanto SISU como TAITO, fueron muy interesantes. Aprendí más de este guía, de John, que de otros guías que hemos seguido en otras partes y en otras ciudades del mundo. Me gustó mucho; es una persona muy leída y muy preparada, que se esmera en darnos información más allá de lo que uno espera. Su aporte no se limita solamente al arte y la experiencia en Finlandia. También abarca comparaciones de arte, arquitectura, la vida cotidiana, la economía, el aspecto social y educativo, así como las diversas influencias de otros países que ha tenido Finlandia a lo largo de su historia. Todo esto me ayudó a conocer mejor el país e incluso me invita a investigar más sobre la historia y el desarrollo de Finlandia.
