Minho Free Walking Tours owes its name to the region where it operates: Minho, the North West of Portugal. At the moment we have tours available in the cities of Braga and Guimarães and we only work with local guides. In that, we are the only ones who work like this 😊 We love our region and our people!
We are also the first in the city of Braga. This company started in 2016, with 2 History teachers and now we have a cooperative of guides, so we also do personalised tours and tours for travel agencies. We have in our team resident professionals linked to different areas of knowledge, such as History, Urbanism, Heritage and Archaeology.

Beautiful old and new town
Although I was the only person to take part in the guided tour, Joaquin started the tour. So it was a very personal fantastic tour. Joaquin had a large and deep knowledge of the history of Portugal and Guimares in special. So I have learned a lot of the town and of Portugal. Joaquin answered to all my questions very well and he showed and explained me all the interesting places of the town. I can highly recommend him as a perfect guide.
