Ye - Tour Guide in Chengdu

Fiona was an outstanding guide and made our time in Chengdu truly memorable. She took us on a fascinating tour through People’s Park, providing insightful explanations and cultural context that brought the area to life. One of the highlights was visiting an underground bunker that featured museum-style displays with photographs, written accounts, and historical timelines. Fiona helped connect the exhibits to the broader history and significance of the site, making the experience much more meaningful and engaging. She also introduced us to a traditional tea house ceremony, which was incredibly interesting. We learned about different types of Chinese teas, their unique characteristics, and the traditions surrounding tea culture. It was a wonderful opportunity to gain a deeper appreciation for an important part of Chinese heritage. What truly set Fiona apart was her warm personality and interactive approach. She was knowledgeable, approachable, and created a fun, relaxed atmosphere throughout the tour. Conversation flowed naturally, and she made everyone feel comfortable and involved. As a thoughtful finishing touch, she gifted us a beautiful poem written on rice paper by a renowned ancient Chinese poet. It was a lovely keepsake and a meaningful reminder of our experience.
