The guide, Alex, was a really friendly person. The content of the tour however should be improved. We would have loved to get information about the history of the city but unfortunately Alex told us nothing about it. Another interesting aspect would have been local food, festivals, drinks, traditions, as well as some facts about economy, social and political life. A positive example was the guide of the museum that we visited during the tour: He showed us physically how to play ugandan "chess" and he recommended a place for a local brewed drink as well as local food for afordable prices. Alex however often told us obvious things. For example when we passed a petrol station he told us that this is a petrol station. Moreover, the length of the tour should not be extended to much. After more than three hours we had to tell Alex that we would like to end the tour otherwise the tour would still have continued.
We really enjoyed the tour. Caren was so friendly and gave us lots of good advice. Moreover she showed us around using her own car so that we could explore a larger area of the city. All in all really worth it!
Well organized and professional tour. The guide had a lot of background knowledge and was eager to provide various and interesting information. Recommendable!
The guide provided new and interesting insights from the perspective of a local. We visited less touristic areas which you would never discover on your own. Especially at the end of the tour we had an amazing view from a private terrace. Really worth it!
Entertaining and well-informed guide covering important and interesting aspects of the history and society of Istanbul. I really enjoyed the tour and recommend it to everyone!
