My family is originally from Madeira, but I was born and raised in South Africa—which means I grew up hearing stories about this island long before I ever lived here. Eventually, Madeira called me back, and now I’m lucky enough to call it home.

I absolutely love Madeira—its history, its people, its legends, and the little details most visitors never notice. For me, guiding isn’t about memorising dates; it’s about bringing stories to life, sharing local perspectives, and making history fun, human, and memorable.

On the tour, expect a relaxed atmosphere, plenty of interesting facts, a few legends you might not expect, and space to ask questions or just enjoy the walk. Whether you’re a history lover or simply curious about the city you’re exploring, I’m excited to share Funchal through my eyes—and my mixed Madeiran–South African perspective.
