Darrell Rivers is a British-American historian with an incredible breadth of knowledge, particularly around London. He works as a historical advisor for TV & film and a consultant for various historical projects around the world. He specialises in the Napoleonic Wars, Crimean War, and the American Civil War. He is an Associate Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and a Kentucky Colonel.
A good informative tour, which focus around cannons rather than Woolwich. A very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide.
Darrell is extremely knowledgeable and truly has a passion for history. I was on the American Civil War tour and loved his stories of American politicians and their endeavors in London. I’d say Darrell’s tours are a must see when visiting London as he goes more in-depth than any other tour I’ve been on!

Amazing guide and tour! Super knowledgeable and had amazing facts. He was able to answer just about every question we had and we learned so much about not only history but also just British life, politics, and customs in general. He also brought a printed sheet with him that included portraits of a lot of the individuals he talked about, and places and things we were going to see as well as a walking map. Overall would highly recommend this tour if you get the chance!
