Best way to visit Amsterdam. Wally (our guide) connected us to the City. He kept us engaged, provided a lot of information, fed us with known local delicacies and above all he was energized. This was the best part of my trip to Amsterdam. Everyone should do this walking tour!

Informative tour but was disappointed with the way we were pressured into paying between 20-30 euros per person at the conclusion. It was advertised as a free tour but pay as you wish, and while we were willing to tip, this price is unreasonable. The guide, Wally, went from being friendly to extremely rude when we paid 20 euros for two people, he insisted there was a minimum of 15 per person which was not advertised anywhere and made us feel guilty for the amount we gave. While the tour was still good it was not worth this value.

Hi Chantelle, Thank you for sharing your feedback. Glad you enjoyed the tour itself. Maybe it wasn’t clear to you, but our tours operate on a tip-based per person model, not per group. The contribution reflects the value of a 3-hour guided experience that even included two local snacks and two water bottles.. While guests are free to decide what they wish to give, it’s important to understand that contributions are made per person, which is standard for tip-based tours across Europe. We do this for a living, and after several hours of showing you around the city, taking photos for you, and sharing personalized recommendations, the contribution simply reflects the effort and quality that go into each tour. I’m glad you enjoyed the tour overall, but we kindly ask that guests respect the guide’s time and effort with a fair contribution. Wishing you a great stay in Amsterdam
