I’m originally from Afghanistan, and for the past four years, I’ve been proud to call Kyoto my second home. I came here to pursue my Master’s degree at Doshisha University, and I’m now a Ph.D. student researching culture, governance, and society. Living and studying in Kyoto has allowed me to see the city not just as a visitor, but as someone who truly understands its rhythm, traditions, and people.
