Michael's uncle (who is still alive today) was the neighbour of Nelson Mandela when he spent nearly 7 years in the jail cell right next door to him, between 1972 and 1979, as a political prisoner on Robben Island.

Probably the best walking tour I've done! Micheal is so knowledgeable, he answered all of my questions with great care and made sure I felt looked after and safe (I'm a solo female traveller) .
