Harold Yun - Tour Guide in Taipei

Hi! This is Harold, my Taiwanese name is Yun (允); it is not as easy to pronounce as it looks, which is more closer to the German umlaut (ü). If linguistics isn’t your chosen battlefield, Harold is what people from all over the world call me, and I genuinely appreciate every brave attempt. I speak English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese fluently, and somewhere along the way I also decided to pick up Spanish, Dutch, and Slovene (random I know), in various level of fluency. My interests are history, politics, languages, and food, which basically means I can happily spend hours discussing colonialism, endangered dialect, dumplings, or all three at once. I’m a proud Taipei local and a certified tour guide, so you can count on me not only for the must-know stories and cultural insights, but also for the kind of oddly specific trivia that may one day save your team at quiz night.
