Free tours a Taipei

It was an interesting walk, with cool places. Tayle knew so much about taiwanese and also chinese history. She took us to the market where she intoduced us to a yummie Cold drink. Also there were enough toilet breaks.

One of my highlights during my Taiwan tour. Leo is a outstanding tour guide knowing Taipei very well. You get a true taste of Taiwan and also better understand many historical side facts. Leo speaks excellent English. We even had a beer with him after the tour when he showed us such a beautiful place for sunsets. Whole hearted recommendation.

I loved the explanations of history and culture given in the tour. It was very informative. I was especially interesting in the historical references. Also the recommendations given were really good. Definitely recommend for your first day in Taipei to understand the city better

The guide provided some interesting info about the temple, religion and Taiwanese culture but she was rather unfriendly and seemed bothered at all times. It seemed that she didn’t wanna answer the questions and appeared to be bothered, unfriendly and an unwelcoming attitude in general. She should pay attention to be welcoming, positive, open in communication and enthusiastic. One of the participants left the tour only after 20 mins… The tour also ended early after 1h50 mins, it was not 2h30 mins as advertised… So overall OK but disappointed. Plus, this was not really an explorative tour we walked around in a radius less than 1 km, so only visited the temple, herbal street and a small alley. So essentially, one doesn’t necessarily need to join a tour to see these places but nevertheless the info she provided about the Taiwanese culture and religion was interesting.

The tour was very interesting covering some parts of old town and good facts about taiwanese history. The guide, Melody, was very knowledgeable, polite and she always had a smile on her face.
