Rio / Salvador / Bogotá By Foot was born as a direct result of the union between the owners of Lapa & Art store, business men who believe in the touristic potential of the city- and a special group of friends with different academic backgrounds (law, theater, geography, tourism, museology) who shares two things in common: the Rio de Janeiro credentials in tourism and a lot of love for Rio de Janeiro.
The business know-how was aligned with the tour guides experience and expertize. After years of tourist work, we realized that free walking tours services offered in Rio de Janeiro city needed improvements and modernization. Different from many other tourist agencies in the city, we are commited with the well being of our visitors. Our differential starts in the way we present our service. the whole experience was top quality. Pedro was very fun and told us very interesting things.
The guide was sociable, enthusiastic and very helpful. The walk itself had interesting points but not as filled with details that give you a real sense of the place, when compared to many other walking tours I have done. The title of 'art and politics' is misleading as it was fairly light on both.
