The tour was really special because you could tell that our guide Jorge was truly part of the community. As we walked through the streets of old Havana he would stop to greet and speak to other Habaneros, and he also brought us into a residential building to see what living conditions are like for everyday people. You could tell that Jorge respects and values his community. The route of the tour is quite simple (across the four main plazas of old Havana) however the true value of the tour was the conversations we had with Jorge who answered all of our questions on contemporary Cuban society and its challenges with detail and insight. The whole group was talking and exchanging ideas from the moment the tour began!

Jorge is a great tour guide, he walked us through the Cuban history and explained the current situation honestly. He answered all our questions with additional information and funny local memes. He is quite friendly we didn't realized how the time passed. I'd definitely recommend!

From a tourist point of view it was enlightening with regard to both historical and modern politics and how that has formed the Cuba of today. Jorge was an amazong guide. From my fair share of guru walks I did, this one was the most interesting. A looot of talks about cuban history and nowadays state. Really loved the geekish history telling from the indigineous people, to modern day Cuba. With good sides and bad sides, I feel that this man made me understand Cuba.
