Essential Free walking tours of Hue

Thank you for this great tour of the Imperial City in Hue. A nice way to visit the impressive historic sights of the Imperial times.

This was such an interesting tour! I really liked getting to know the history of the imperial city. Our guide, Du, was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions, both about the imperial era and modern day. 100% recommend!

I'd highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Hue to learn more about the Vietnamese culture while learning about the Citadel.

We had a really good tour of the Imperial City with Vy. She was friendly and easy to understand, which made the whole experience enjoyable. By explained the history clearly, you could tell she actually knows her stuff :) The tour was well-paced and she answered all our questions. Would definitely recommend

Our tour started promptly at the indicated meeting spot. It was just four of us with our guide. She provided an efficient route thru the Citadel/imperial palace that we probably wouldn’t have thought of on our own. It was hot so she always stopped in shady spots to talk about the area we were viewing. She had interesting stories and information about the area. She was funny and spoke English very well. We were really happy we saw this site with a guide.

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time on our tour with Vy. She is incredibly knowledgeable and provided deep insights into the history of the last Vietnamese royal dynasty. We especially appreciated the way she paced the tour, she gave us 10-minute breaks to explore on our own and take photos, which allowed us to really soak in the atmosphere of the royal palace. Highly recommended!

Huy led our tour to the Imperial Palace. He gave entertaining explanations of the history and significance of the buildings, and plenty of time to take photos and wander around.

Our guide was fabulous, full of interesting detail and was ready to answer any question asked. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Take the tour it’s great, just don’t be late! You won’t be waited for, quite right to. Thank you so much for an entertaining and informative tour.

Du was one of the best guides I ever had. She has real in-depth knowledge not only about the Palace and the Royal family but also about Vietnamese culture and life. It was a great experience and so much fun. Besides, the Palace is really nice not only as a fotostop but also as a cultural heritage.

Du was a lovely person and knew so much about the Hue Imperial City and Vietnam history in general. She fielded our groups many questions, kept us on schedule, and gave extra information about everything in a very kind way. Vy was such a lovely guide. She shared so much insightful information about the imperial city, but also Vietnamese cultur, religion and tradition in general which is important to understand the architecture in the imperial city. I recommended the tour to people in my hostel who also were very happy with the tour.
