Nijat was engaging, welcoming and gave us a great insight into both old and modern Baku!

We booked this tour based on the amazing reviews, and it definitely lived up to them! In the end, it was just the two of us with Nijat, but he was just as enthusiastic as if he had a whole group with him. We had already spent two days in Baku and thought we had seen quite a lot, but Nijat showed us *his* Baku with all the best spots to buy souvenirs (don't forget to haggle!) and restaurants to go to (and which ones to avoid). We didn't just learn about Azerbaijan's history, but also about current affairs, geopolitics, and so much more. Nijat was incredibly intelligent, genuinely passionate, and able to answer all of our questions. You could really tell how much he knows and loves his country. Definitely recommend!

I had a wonderful experience on the Baku and Mosaics tour with Ayten. I was the only person booked on the tour, and I really appreciated that Ayten still went ahead with it and took the time to show me some of Baku’s most stunning mosaics. Beyond the beautiful artwork, she shared fascinating insights into the rich culture and deep history of both Baku and Azerbaijan, giving me a much greater appreciation for the city and the country. It was a lovely, personal experience and a unique way to discover a different side of Baku. Thank you, Ayten, for such an informative and memorable tour! Highly recommended.

Città Vecchia di Baku: una passeggiata nella storia

Due to a number of circumstances, I was the only person that showed up for this tour. I didn’t want to have Nijat, the guide, giving a private tour at a free walking tour price so I attempted to cancel. He wouldn’t have it. He insisted on showing me his city. I proposed a compromise. He could take me on a shortened version of the tour. Let me tell you that man walked around with me for the full 3 hours and then some, showing me so many things I never would have noticed and putting so much of the history into context. He is gracious, funny and most of all knowledgeable. I still feel bad that he ended up giving a full private tour but I’m also grateful he insisted. His tour was one of the highlights of my time in Baku. I can’t recommend him enough.
