This tour was so worthwhile! We are all students from the UK working in the Hopsital nearby and this was the perfect way to see the city! It was safe and informative and Derick was amazing, his English was fabulous and made us feel at ease walking around some of the local areas. The areas he took us to were super interesting and certainly one of my best days since being in Dar es Salaam

If you have a relaxed and no- rush morning to go exploring Dar es Salaam please do consider going for a walk with Rashid. We spent much more than the stipulated walk tim as Rashid is very patient and happy to answer as many questions as one may have while on a walk to explore his city. He was also kind enough to sit down for a coffee when we were feeling a little tired and needed a break. Rashid is very sensitive and aware of those walking with him, and took every effort to share his knowledge and curiosity of our country too. Together, it was truly a wonderful exchange of stories, anecdotes and facts. Do not rush, keep plenty of time and go exploring with Rashid. He knows a lot about the route, and the little things too, should something small take your interest. Happy walking and exploring 🍀

Derick is an absolute legend of a guide! His kindness, friendliness, and encyclopedic knowledge about Dar es salaam and Tanzania are unparalled. He revealed so many fascinating places that we would have never found on our own. The pinnacle of the tour? The jaw-dropping rooftop views from those iconic skyscrapers that dominate Dar's skyline. Seriously, it's like seeing the city from the heavens! And let's not forget the awe-inspiring memorial Graves and the uhuru torch, marking Tanzania's independence-a truly unforgettable experience. If you're in Dar, Derick's tour is an absolute must. Trust me, you'll be raving about it for weeks!

I had a wonderful afternoon with Rashid. He was very informative and gave me some great insights into the city and the country. It was like walking around with a good friend. Highly recommend the tour.

Derrick is the perfect tourguide if you want to explore Dar.

We had an incredible walking tour around the city center of Dar es salaam with Derick. My 7-year-old son said it was the best city tour of his life! Derick was very friendly, knowledgeable and fun. He showed us interesting places and shared the wide history of the city, which we loved it so much.
We even visited kariakoo market, which was very interesting. We managed to buy some Tanzanian fabrics and Derick was very helpful in negotiating the price. Around kariakoo, we visited one of his friends who lives there in an apartment. We saw the whole kariakoo area from the rooftop, and the view was really nice. My son played playstation there, though he lost some games with Derick's friend, 😂
Thank you Derick for an incredible experience around Dar es salaam. Me and my family would love to see you again in Geneva.
