Inoltre parlo dei diversi mercati di Amman e della storia di ogni mercato e del motivo del suo nome. Alcuni di questi mercati hanno ragioni divertenti per la loro denominazione. Sto cercando di rendere questo tour diverso e parlare della cultura della comunità locale e di aspetti più sociali viene da qualcuno che l'ha vissuta e non si trova nei libri. Sto cercando di mostrare al visitatore la vita sociale e culturale della gente di Amman. Tranne tutto ciò che è turistico o legato al turismo. O siti storici. Parliamo solo della vita locale. I joined Mohammad’s walking tour alone and asked if it was okay. He gave me the kindest, gentle smile and said, “It’s not your fault.” That smile made me feel safe and welcomed right away. On the walk, I was treated to free bread and water from local vendors, visited a beautiful historic mosque, walked through authentic everyday scenes and learned a lot, like how Amman once had a river and the history around the area. He knew everyone and everyone seemed to adore him. My only regret is joining on my very last day, so I couldn’t try the foods and shops he recommended. But the way he was so passionate to share his recommendations and wished that he could help me more as a solo traveller had it been earlier in my trip made my heart warm.
I had the pleasure of joining a tour with Mohammad Ezzat in Amman, and it was truly an outstanding experience. Even though I was the only participant, he still carried out the tour with great care and dedication. What makes his tour so special is that it goes beyond the typical tourist attractions. While he also provides plenty of useful information about the main sights and how to reach them, the real highlight is the unique journey through Amman’s local markets, hidden corners, and authentic neighborhoods. Mohammad explained how the city developed over time, gave fascinating insights into how people live here today, and helped me understand everyday life in Jordan in a very genuine way. He also introduced me to traditional cafés and restaurants, offering excellent recommendations that I would not have found on my own. This tour gave me a much deeper appreciation for Amman and Jordanian culture than I could have expected. Mohammad is knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing his city. I can highly recommend his tour to anyone who wants to see the real Amman beyond the guidebooks.
Mohammad’s love for his home city is both very visible and contagious. He helped me re-discover Downtown, a neighbourhood that I already knew, with fresh eyes and a new perspective. Mohammad was a lovely and very well informed guide full of stories and anecdotes. As a new resident myself, his tour was a very useful and practical introduction to local life here, and provided an interesting historical overview of the city. Highly recommended!
I am truly blessed to have had such a personalised and informative tour of the ‘real’ Amman. Mohammed was fabulous. Very passionate and knowledgeable about his home city. Unfortunately, for Mohammed, I was the only participant- this is the result of Jordan being the innocent casualties of war with Palestine next door. But he showed up - and then some.
