Issa was a really fantastic guide. So knowledgeable and passionate about Zanzibar. He has knowledge about both the islands history and also current affairs, and was able to answer all my questions. His English was clear and articulate. I found the tour thorough and extremely enlightening. It was so refreshing to see the other side of the town where the people live and work, outside the main tourist spots. Issa put together a fabulous itinerary.
The tour is a must to see more besides the more touristic centre. Issa told a lot about history, traditions, culture and architecture! It was very interesting. I really enjoyed the tour!!!
Issa war sehr nett und macht es wirklich nicht für Geld oder so. Wir waren nur zu zweit und er hat keine Sekunde daran gedacht die Tour abzusagen ... auch die Tour selber war echt informativ und er geht voll auf die Bedürfnisse ein ... mit die beste Tour die ich je gemacht habe
This tour takes you out of stone town/touristic area and gives you a peak at the local life, housing, hobbies and markets. It's a lot of walking and a lot of talking. It was just me on the tour so we conversed about everything and my guide was open an honest. Very much appreciated. Definitely a recommendation for those who want to see a different side of the city.
