Really solid and genuinely interesting tour. In 1h45 you cover the essential highlights of Toledo, but it’s not just a checklist of monuments. The stories add real depth, and you leave with a clear, overall understanding of the city, its layout, and the key historical context. Our guide was excellent: very knowledgeable, perfectly comfortable with the script, and able to answer questions in a smart, thoughtful way. It didn’t feel like simple recitation, he clearly understands the material and can adapt when people ask for more detail. Two things seriously need improvement though. First, the group size was way too big. They cancelled an earlier tour saying we were the only ones booked, and then one hour later we ended up in a group of around thirty people. That inevitably reduces the quality of the experience and the interaction with the guide. Second, the audio system is unpleasant: the earpiece is unreliable and uncomfortable. I would much rather have the guide wear a small neck speaker so you can hear directly without having to use an earpiece. Despite these issues, the content and the guide’s quality make it worth doing. With smaller groups and a better audio setup, it would be a flawless experience.
