Mi chiamo Minh e sono una guida turistica e un'operatrice di una ONG. Ho guidato tour a Hoi An per gli ultimi 10 anni. We had Sanh as our guide and we had such a wonderful time! He took us to less touristic places while explaining us the history and current daily life in Hoi An and Vietnam and he was clearly very knowledgeable about it. We had very interesting conversations and we are super glad we chose this tour!
Very fun tour! Nguyên is an excellent guide. You’ll get to explore the entire town and visit some lovely, non-touristy areas
Toan (tom) did a splendid job of explaining Hoi An's history, its contemporary culture and also a bit of the local food. He explained local traditions and their historical roots too. The places included the university, school, hospital, prison, cathedral and cafes too. What impressed the most were the personal stories and anecdotes he used in his telling. The stories were indeed very moving as many of his previous to previous generation family suffered violence in the genocide. Overall the tour was completely worth our time and we would definitely recommend this anyone who wants to understand Hoi An from a local and a personal perspective.
The tour was supposed to start at 14:30. We arrived at exactly 2:30 PM at the meeting point. We then messaged them via WhatsApp and GuruWalk. We didn’t hear back within 10 minutes so we decided to leave. They finally contacted us back within 16 minutes of the tour starting, which was at 2:46 PM saying that they were 10 minutes away. That would’ve made their arrival time closer to 3 PM then 230. That’s pretty unprofessional. We also contacted them at 12 PM that day just to confirm if the tour was going to continue Since we saw that the weather conditions weren’t the best. They confirmed two hours prior to the tour. There was no communication via GuruWalk or WhatsApp. For this reason we left after not being notified for over 15 minutes. For the future, they should be on top of it when it comes to bookings or at least contacting someone that they will be running late to give them a heads up.
Great way to cycle through the city into the countryside to srr the way of lofe of locals. Bery fun guide very entertaining yet informative
