Ciao! Sono Iskender, nato e cresciuto a Bishkek. Sebbene abbia trascorso gran parte della mia vita qui, i miei viaggi in Europa e Asia centrale hanno cambiato il modo in cui vedo la mia città natale. Quella che un tempo era una città ordinaria ora sembra un luogo affascinante, pieno di storie nascoste, sapori unici e contrasti vibranti. Viaggiare mi ha insegnato a guardare Bishkek come se la vedessi per la prima volta: con curiosità, meraviglia e apprezzamento. Da allora, ho riscoperto questa città: la sua ricca storia, i quartieri diversificati, la gente cordiale e la cultura in evoluzione. Ho sviluppato una vera passione nel condividere queste scoperte con gli altri. Se sei curioso di conoscere la vita locale, i tesori storici e dove assaggiare il miglior plov o samsa, mi piacerebbe guidarti. Parlo fluentemente inglese e so conversare anche in francese e portoghese. Ho un mio mezzo di trasporto, quindi non ci limitiamo solo al centro città: posso mostrarti angoli nascosti e parchi tranquilli oltre i soliti percorsi. Il mio obiettivo? Per aiutarti a vivere Bishkek non come un semplice turista, ma come un ospite gradito.

We really enjoyed our tour in Bishkek with Iskender. He gave us a great background on the country’s history, especially the 20th century and the Soviet era, as well as recent events. He showed us various monuments and sculptures, using them as a starting point to explain key aspects of the country. His tone was very clear and didactic, he transmitted a sense of calm, and you could feel he is truly passionate about his country and the culture it is rooted in. The tour was also relatively short, which we really appreciated on such a hot day as the information was concise and never overwhelming. Excellent experience.
