Hello! I’m Iskender — born and raised in Bishkek. Though I’ve spent most of my life here, my travels across Europe and Central Asia have changed the way I see my hometown.
What used to be a routine city now feels like a fascinating place full of hidden stories, unique flavors, and vibrant contrasts.
Traveling taught me to look at Bishkek as if I were seeing it for the first time — with curiosity, wonder, and appreciation. Since then, I’ve rediscovered this city: its rich history, diverse neighborhoods, warm people, and evolving culture. I’ve developed a real passion for sharing these discoveries with others.
If you're curious about local life, historical gems, and where to taste the best plov or samsa — I’d love to guide you. I speak fluent English and can also hold a conversation in French and Portuguese. I have my own transport, so we’re not limited to just the city center — I can show you hidden corners and peaceful parks beyond the usual routes.
My goal? To help you experience Bishkek not just as a tourist, but as a welcomed guest.
Iskender is very friendly well organised guide , he knows a lot about the history of his country, nomad life, animals, a lot of interesting info
Iskender was very easy to communicate with. He was easy to find and was very knowledgeable about the history of Kygzstan. His delivery was very calm and the areas we went were interesting. It gave us a great overview of the country and its challenging history. Thank You
Interesting tour with a great guide! Iskender was very knowledgeable, explained everything well, and answered all our questions. Very happy that I booked this tour! Thanks Iskender! 🙂
We really enjoyed our tour in Bishkek with Iskender. He gave us a great background on the country’s history, especially the 20th century and the Soviet era, as well as recent events. He showed us various monuments and sculptures, using them as a starting point to explain key aspects of the country. His tone was very clear and didactic, he transmitted a sense of calm, and you could feel he is truly passionate about his country and the culture it is rooted in. The tour was also relatively short, which we really appreciated on such a hot day as the information was concise and never overwhelming. Excellent experience.
