Great afternoon walk with Jose, and as he said mainly downhill! Loads of information and history about the university and surrounding areas. Little bits of personal local info made the walk very entertaining. I would suggest getting a bus to the top of the university for the beginning of the walk. Google maps had us climbing almost vertical 115 steps to get to the university area, and we are in our late 70s! Jose is a great guide and made the walk very enjoyable.
Jose was incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He had a binder of pictures that was really helpful to understand the history and context of the places we’ve visited. It was quite a climb uphill but he made frequent stops along the way, and we didn’t feel tired at all. We made it to the top quite easily. It was a fantastic time. Highly recommend!
Jose was an amazing guide! He answered all questions and provided truly interesting information about all the sites, and additional context about what we could do in Coimbra outside of his tour. 10/10 recommended!
