We had a very nice, spontaneous tour for just the two of us with Badri, (Sovits brother), a super nice guide. He showed us everything with a lot of patience and we had no rush to get from one stop to the next, allowing us to look at a mandala place at Swayambhu for instance.
The guide did not show up and did not contact me to cancel. Very disappointed as he let down the 4 of us in the group. We were all at the meeting point in plenty of time.
Nuestra experiencia fue bastante mala la verdad. Ningún hilo conductor, poco conocimiento sobre el tema, desorden, prisa... . Mejor ir por libre.
Our tour in Kathmandu turned out to be a really nice experience! Although our original guide, Sovit, couldn’t make it that day, he kindly arranged for a friend to take us on the tour instead — something I really appreciated, as it allowed us to enjoy the city as planned. The substitute guide had a basic command of English, but it was enough to communicate well and guide us through the different sides of Kathmandu. We visited several interesting spots, got a great sense of the city’s atmosphere, and even took a taxi to the famous Monkey Temple after he asked if we’d like to go — which we were all excited about! Overall, it was a pleasant and enjoyable day, and I appreciated the effort to make sure the tour still happened despite the last-minute change.
