We have done a lot of walking and biking city tours around the world, including this month in Chile and Argentina. This Montevideo tour was superlative. We were pleasantly surprised that there was so much to learn about Montevideo and Uruguay. Our guide was so well-informed and incredibly entertaining. I feel like I took a graduate school class in Uruguayan history, politics and culture. Mahalo to Juan and the entire organization!
Jorge is a fun and kind tour guide! I'm Uruguayan and took the tour with my American friends. Sadly, they weren't very pleased with the little history told. The tour focused way more on stereotypes of our identity than actual history and facts of the old city. There's way more than us just being crazy for football and a famous plane crash in the 70s. So overall ok tour, but if you take it please please please take a 2nd tour focused on history or watch a youtube video about our History. Because this is not for that.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour the historical information was excellent and delivered well with a good sense of humour. Jorge kept everyone interested. The walking pace was just right. Would recommend
Ha sido de las mejores experiencias que hemos tenido en un FreeTour! Tuvimos la suerte de coincidir con Jorge, que es un encanto. Profesional, atento, divertido… sabía muchísimo sobre la historia de Montevideo y compartía datos interesantes y curiosos durante todo el recorrido. Además, fue muy amable, y respondió a todas nuestras preguntas, haciendo el tour muy ameno. Totalmente recomendable!
