Food was amazing, they took us to hidden spots around the old quarter. Our guide Khoi was super kind and knowledgeable.
We were disappointed with the tour and felt ripped off. Our guide Audrey charged us 200 000VND/person + tip at the beginning of the tour that was supposed to cover all the food we would try during the tour. Other food tours ask each person to pay the vendors directly at every stop. Clearly with the total stops we made, the cost of the food was lower than 200 000VND/person. Some people didn’t even eat at each stop. The egg coffee was also apparently not included in this and we had to pay for that directly to the vendor on top of what we gave the guide at the beginning of the tour (even if this is one of the foods listed in the food tour description). The description of the food you will try on this tour is not accurate. I would recommend trying a different street food tour.
We had a superb evening with Audrey tonight. She was extremely knowledgeable, not just about the food, but local culture too. All the food we had was delicious and she was very helpful with tips too.
One of the best experiences of my life! The tour immerses you into the chaotic traffic of Hanoi and you are able to see a lot of places in a short period. We stopped and saw the train passing right next to us on train street, learned a lot about the history of Vietnam and even saw the fallen B52 bombarder plane that crashed in one of the lakes in Hanoi. Minh was an amazing guide, he was super friendly and very knowledgeable. He also gave us a lot of advice about what to do in Hanoi and took some amazing photos of us. If you are confident with riding a bicycle, I highly suggest this tour 10/10.
