Great Free Walking Tour through Hanoi. The guide Tommy gives you a good introduction to the sights on the tour across the Old Town and is always open for questions. Through his explanations and stories, Tommy brought me closer to Vietnam and the country’s rich history and culture, much appreciated!

The free walking tour with our guide Tommy was fantastic, and we were able to discover many new facets of Hanoi and saw sides of the city we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. We spent a wonderful and very interesting afternoon. We would definitely recommend a tour with Tommy! :)

We had a great tour with Tommy! We learned not only about Hanoi’s history but Vietnam. He was funny and open to questions, and since it was a small group we had a lot of time to chat.

As others have said, Tommy is fantastic. Even though I was the only one on the schedule, we proceeded with the tour and it was a very personal journey through the Old Quarter and the history of Hanoi. It truly felt like a friend showing me around with a friendly banter and getting to know each other in addition to learning more about the city. We actually finished the route a little earlier but then had a long talk over coffee at our last stop until he had to run. Ask him about his motorcycle girlfriends! :)

I have nothing but the highest praise for our guide Tommy. He is so knowledgeable on all matters of Hanoi History. I did not bargain on gaining so much information through him. Such a lovely young man, sell spoken, considerate, and able to answer everyone's queries without hesitation. 10 stars!

Wir hatten eine super Zeit mit Tommy, er hat uns viele local Plätze mit sehr gutem Essen gezeigt, die wir sonst nie gefunden hätten! Außerdem hat er uns viel über das Leben und die Menschen un Vietnam erzählt. Es war echt super!

It was honestly one of my best free walking tour so far, and I joined quite a few so far! Tommy has a lot of background knowledge, is funny and overall a nice guy! If you do the walk you wan‘t be disappointed!

We had a great tour with Tommy, would recommend! We really enjoyed learning about various parts of Hanoi and Vietnam’s history, and being able to ask questions. Tommy was friendly and fun to talk to and the tour went by quickly. He also sent us a lot of helpful tips and recommendations for after.

We had a really, really great evening on the vegetarian food tour with Tommy! He was extremely friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and he explained so much about the food, the local culture, and Hanoi along the way. We visited some really cool places, including a few hidden spots that we probably would never have found on our own. Tommy also had a great variety of food options, so we could choose what we felt like trying, which made the tour feel very personal and relaxed. Overall, it was a wonderful evening with great food, interesting stories, and a really nice atmosphere. We can absolutely recommend this tour, and especially Tommy as a guide!!!
