The guide was punctual and kind, but very soft-spoken with a strong accent so that it was difficult to hear her on the busy street. The food choices were mediocre, nothing stood out as a place that I would want to go back to. We ended with Vietnam Pizza which no one in our group liked. There were also a few times when I would ask about what was in the food or what a certain item was and it was not explained so I had to look it up on Google during the tour. The best part was meeting another couple on the tour that we had beers with after the tour ended.

One, our guide, speaks gratd English and is open to answer any questions at any time. We were able to taste different, but common Vietnamese food items. The other food tasting area had all kinds of things to try and it was good to have One guiding us as to what he felt was OK for us to try. The apartments were also interesting to see. So we got a nice picture of Ho Chi Minh. One was also good at ensuring our safety when crossing streets.

We wanted something different and this was certainly different from all the usual highlights. Our guide was very informed and happy to share interesting stories on the history and current environment in the Chinese area. He was lively and entertaining. Would recommend this tour and guide.

Fun informative food tour with very local and friendly guides who know the area very well. I tried food I wanted to eat but wouldn’t have been confident doing without guidance and tips (including snails and other delicious street food). Recommend! Thanks Sam

Giang was our guide, and absolutely made this tour one of the highlights of the whole trip in SE Asia. He is knowledgeable, patient, educated, informative and a good communicator. He really got around the whole trip, has great advice and was really excited to see us explore his home. Great food, great people, great atmosphere, clear instructions and we can’t recommend it enough. Thanks again Giang, you’re a ripper bloke and you made the trip. Always appreciated mate

Interesting tour…. But our very late lunch led us to being unable to enjoy all the food available. So much food to choose from, but also interesting insights into local life and culture. I’d love to go back and explore more on my own!

Kio was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took us on a slow paced stroll around the neighbourhoods of Vietnam to try local specialities. We loved all the different foods we tried and we got to eat things we would not have chosen otherwise. Who knew avocado ice cream tasted so good 😏
