Great Tour, Martin provided a good mix of history, life experience of the Cambodian people as well as his own experiences.

What a fantastic guide and tour around some of the major sites of Phnom Penh. Martin was an excellent guide, providing great pre tour communications via WhatsApp, speaking excellent English and passing on the history and stories of Phnom Penh as we toured the city. He was funny and entertaining one of the best guides we’ve had on our trip so far. Nothing was too much trouble for him. If we spotted something that took our interest he happily diverted to let us get a better view, wander around and take pictures. The trip was taken at a sedate pace, no dash from location to location, but with time to absorb everything around us, chat to locals and feel like we were experiencing something genuine. Martin introduced us to coconut waffles and yellow and orange jackfruit which he purchased fresh during the tour to share with the group. After the tour he also provided us with some personalised recommendations for restaurants near to our hotel which have proved very useful. Thank you Martin for a wonderful introduction to your city.

Very entertaining and informative tour. Learned a lot and laughed a lot. He even bought us local waffle (with coconut inside) and 2 kinds of jackfruit to try. Highly recommended.

De highlights gezien maar vooral heel veel informatie over de geschiedenis van Cambodja en het boedisme (we hebben zelfse de 102 jarige patriarch kunnen zien) gehoord. Ook een lokale markt bezocht. Als het goed is krijgen we nog wat tips voor wat eettentjes. We doen dit soort tours regelmatig en tot nog toe alleen maar heel goede ervaringen. Het is een perfecte manier om een stad te leren kennen. Martin, dank je wel!

Nach COVID hat er sich entschlossen in Phnom Penh sein eigenes Business zu starten und bietet mehrere Touren an. Als Kind war er 10 Jahre Schüler bei einem Mönch, daher das gute Englisch und das Wissen rund um Buddhismus und Kultur. Eine der besten Touren die wir je hatten. Jeden Dollar wert.

This was an amazing tour. It was very informative and our guide Martin was very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. We were in a small group of 5 and were not rushed. Martin supplied the transport and lots of cold bottled water. It was very sad to see how man can treat each other and although harrowing we were pleased we went on this tour.

Great and very interesting tour!

The tour everyone should be doing! You get to learn and understand the full and actual history of what lead to the rise and fall of the Khmer Rouge (In contradiction to the audio guide that only tells you what happened at the locations). Martin explained everything with great knowledge and very detailed information. This tour is 4h about lots of history, politics and the human condition. I’m really glad I did the tour because this was the best free tour I’ve ever booked. Thank you for everything Martin!

Martin is an excellent host, I could not reccommend his tour enough! With his extensive knowledge, great sense of humor and honesty he really provided a well balanced, informative and fun tour. He talked about both history and the present, everyday life, we could ask him about anything! He even bought us some local snacks along the way and provided great further reccommendations for our trip. 10/10

Highly recommend this tour of street art and food highlights. You get to see Phnom Penh from a different perspective and different neighborhoods. Martin was a teacher and enjoys questions from attendees. He is an excellent guide and his wife drove us expertly around the City. We went to many food venues and tried many different foods. We were so full. Please remember that these guides depend on tips and he paid for all the food. We tipped $35 each and consider it a bargain compared to other tours. Martin was so good as we actually booked him for a private tour for few days out of Phnom Penh. Highly recommend. We have now taken all his walkjng tours and booked a private tour too.
