Excellent tour - many thanks Mario!

Mario is as an excellent guide. He studied history at his university in Korce and is a fountain of knowledge not only about local landmarks and culture but we had a fascinating and frank discussion about contemporary Albanian politics. The latter was worth the price of admission alone. I have a particular interest in Korce since both sets of my grandparents came from Korce. After our tour ended, Mario led us to the first Albanian school for girls (founded in 1891) where my grandmother was educated. It’s not open to the public & has only a small plaque on the wall. I never would have found it on my own but Mario went above and beyond to lead us there. Three cheers for Mario! You will not be disappointed by this tour.

Thank you Mario for helping us visit your beautiful city. We particularly enjoyed your stories about the different neighborhoods at the start, the origin of the language and Albanian alphabet which was truly fascinating and so much more. We were stunned to hear the origin of the capital, not told until now despite also doing a guided tour in Tirana. And agin thank you for for local restaurant recommendations, spot on!
