Having read the previous reviews, we knew Gabriel was going to be great. Super informative and knowledgable about the history of Merida. His English is fantastic and liked that he also spoke sections of Spanish too. Great experience!

Gabriel is a passionate and pleasant guide. He seems to know his Mayan history. He shares that history without bitterness or hostility. His cultural pride is balanced with personal humility. I would like to have a few locations in between his planned sites explained as we were walking from stop to stop. He recommended a few quality spots to eat and to enjoy local cuisine and entertainment. I highly recommend attending Gabriel’s walk and taking at least 2 other walks to get a well-rounded feel for and understanding of Merida.

Great tour with Gabriel, the Mayan! :) An hour and the half long tour around the main square of the Merida with lots of intresting informations about history of the Maya, of the city and arts. The best part of the tour was to hear the mayan language. :)

Couldn't ask for better for a quick 1.5-2 hour tour of downtown Merida. We didnt get to stop at some places as long as I wouldve liked, but that was fine because now we know what we want to go back and spend more time on!
