Suleyman was such a great guide. He was very knowledgeable and tact and showed us many hidden gems in Old town Izmir. He went out of his way to expose us to delicious treats and gave us advice on things to avoid, which areas and shops were trustworthy all the while teaching us some of the history of Izmir. Thank you so much Suleyman for a wonderful day!

We had a lovely tour with Suleyman! It was so great having tea in the market and hearing the history of Izmir. We loved learning about the Jewish, Muslim and Christian communities in the city. Suleyman was informative, engaging and a delightful thoughtful person. Thank you!

Serhat was a kind, patient and accommodating guide. He was informative and friendly to chat with. After booking on GuruWalk, the guide dropped us a message to confirm the tour as well as if we needed any additional information prior to the tour. In terms of the route, we met at the clock tower, which is where the tour began. Thereafter, we walked through the bazaar, the old marker where we had some Turkish tea and coffee (at your own expense), and ended at the Agora (130 TL entrance fee), where we learnt about the history of the city. The tour was about 2 hours long.

Izmir was my first destination in Turkey. I went on a walking tour with Süleyman which made my Izmir tour such a memorable one. I have never met a tour guide more friendly and helpful than Süleyman. He is such a jovial and humble person. Moreover, his knowledge is not just cantered around Izmir, he helped me to plan tours outside Izmir. And the best part is that he speaks very good English , which is a rare thing to get in Izmir. I highly recommend Süleyman to everyone who wants to fall in love with Izmir..

Suleyman was a great guide showed best parts of his city in 3 hours. We really enjoyed time and learning from him. I was not expecting to see this much in izmir but guru was so dedicated to share on this tour.

We had a superb time walking around the city with Süley, he is so knowledgeable and told us many interesting bits of information not only about Izmir but also about turkish culture situated in the larger context of the nation’s history and founding. Learnt a lot and experienced some aspects of local life too through the coffee and the snack break. Thanks a lot Süley, you’re the best!

Erkan was fabulous. Knowledgeable and insightful, he took us on a wander through the bazaar, pointing out mosques, food, historical places. He taught us how to take the tram using our credit card and showed us two ends of Izmir which would have been too far to walk. I especially appreciate his curiosity about the cultures of myself and the other participant. It made for lively discussions.
