Erkan is the best guide you can find in Izmir. He will show you places you will not find yourself. He is very knowledgable, responsive, he designed a very intimate and holistic overview of Izmir and he is a hansome tall men.

I have done dozens of walking tours in different parts of the world; this was one of the best. For five hours Erkan took us around Izmir, seeing things like the Ascensor, clock tower, bazaar, and Atatürk museum - but more importantly he is such a friendly, funny, and hospitable guide. He really enjoys guiding and getting to know the group; we stopped for lunch in a great spot for fish sandwiches and also stopped for coffee later on. Since admission to the Atatürk museum is free he took us through there as well, telling us about Atatürk. He even helped me find a specific souvenir I had been searching for for several days without success.

Erkan was a fun guide who showed us many interesting sights. He spent much time making sure we had rests and food. I would have liked a little bit more history, as the history of Izmir is very interesting. I enjoyed the visits to the Mosque, elevator, bazaar and clock tower. I would highly recommend Erkan as a guide.

Erkan was fabulous. Knowledgeable and insightful, he took us on a wander through the bazaar, pointing out mosques, food, historical places. He taught us how to take the tram using our credit card and showed us two ends of Izmir which would have been too far to walk. I especially appreciate his curiosity about the cultures of myself and the other participant. It made for lively discussions.

Erkin was an amazing guide. He was very knowledgeable. Loud clear voice and speaks good English. He gave very good recommendation for food in kemeralti. We are well travelled n joined many walking tours in America and Europe and this is the BEST! Erkin is very sincere and enthusiastic about sharing his beloved Izmir. What we did not expect was when we said we wanted to go to the Agora, he paid fr his own entrance ticket to bring us in, at his own expense. Free walking tours will never bring u into paid attractions. We appreciated it. During this trip some members of the group asked how much we should tip the guides. According to my research 2023, Euro10-15 per person fr a 2 hour walking tour is a must. Erkin tour was more than 4 hours!!!! Thus for this tour with Erkin, we doubled the min amount.
