Fabulous tour with Donat, informative in an entertaining way, we learnt some Uzbek, tasted food in the market, helped with some bread making, were introduced to lots of market stall holders, it was a super fun tour, and Donat was the star. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Un tour excelente! El guía, Donat, es muy informativo y simpático. Nos demostró sitios históricos y auténticos de la ciudad y probamos sabores locales en el bazaar. Recomendaría este guía.

Donat was a very informative and knowledgeable guide covering some of the Unesco listed sights. Really enjoyed the tour and adding in the bread breaking and food tasting was a very nice touch.

This was honestly one of the best tours we’ve been on. Donat was accommodating and just so helpful. We couldn’t make it the previous day because of our child and he was VERY understanding. We did decide to come the next day. The tour information itself was very entertaining and we got a lot of historical as well as fun acts about the city. We got to visit multiple sites that were on my “must see list”. He also seemed very well known around to the vendors. He provided us with snacks at the bazaar plus an amazing quick bread making experience which took me off guard. I honestly wish we had more cash to tip him. The tour was serious at points, funny, & just great overall. He also took us to different vendors and wasn’t pushy at all for us to make any purchases. One of the best, if not the best, tour we’ve been on via GuruWalk.

This tour takes you out of Tashkent to a village called Parkent which is a change from the city, You also visit a mosque high up on a hill, the walk up is steep but not too strenuous. Javlon provided a lot of information about the area. Recommend it if you have a spare day in Tashkent, remember to have cash with you for the transfers.

We really enjoyed our tour with Donat - he is entertaining, informative, pragmatic and funny! The personal touch of food tastings, bread making etc were fun and the insight behind the doors in Old Tashkent was great

Donat's walking tour is like no other! I've never taken part in a bread-making workshop on a walking tour before! I really appreciated that Donat keeps the tours small and intimate and really makes an effort to connect with each person. I learnt so much about Tashkent and Uzbekistan and felt like I'd found a friend by the end.

Love Love Loved this tour! Donat did such a great job. I got a very well-rounded understanding of Tashkent and of Uzbekistan within a short time. Great balance of time around different sites, talking vs seeing, etc. My tour only ended up being with 3 people so we were all just having a great time. Donat seems to know everyone everywhere so its clear he knows what he's doing. Would definitely recommend to anyone to do while in Tashkent!

Consigliatissimo!

Don is well prepared with everything from Uzbekistan history, cool places to see and the right connections at the right places, all to provide you with a complete experience. The time flew by without we even realizing! I could not recommend this enough, be sure to save sometime for this walking tour while you are at Tashkent.

Donat’s tour was fantastic! I arrived late, and he kindly waited for me, which I really appreciated. I loved how he brought the history of Uzbekistan and Tashkent to life in such a fun and engaging way. We explored the metro, saw the city’s highlights, visited the market and tasted Uzbek food, watched traditional bread being made, and wandered through the old town’s neighbourhoods. There was so much variety, and everything came together beautifully. A wonderfully comprehensive tour. Thank you, Donat! I hope to see you soon in the future :)

The walking tour with Donat was excellent! He gave us a very good insight in the history of Uzbekistan and Tashkent, brought us to places we would not have found ourselves and gave us some useful cultural tips. All this in excellent English. I higly recommend joining his tours.

It was a great tour! He only has small groups so there is a lot of interaction with fellow participants and easy to listen to Don's extensive information and stories about the history of Oezbekistan and Tashkant, and easy to ask questions. He takes you to the bazaar and is almost like a famous person along the shops and let us taste multiple dishes. Loved this personal style!
